Thing-power is the force that is inflicted on humans by things. This power creates a relationship between human and nonhuman entities. My model looks to study this relationship, examining what might happen in the future if this relationship becomes unbalanced. What will occur if things become dominant in this relationship. This will impact interior design in the future. My model provides an example of how this might be portrayed by combining the idea of a thrift store and museum. Both are locations where objects are the main focus, but both with very different ways of treating those things. This interior is lined with pedestals housing everyday things to be purchased, elevating these mundane objects to a higher status. Each pedestal will consist of a text block, providing shoppers with the name of each object and a description of how it can be used, giving these objects a unique personality.
