How does nature dissipate the boundaries between interior and exterior? There is an interesting tension between interior and exterior space. The exterior is dynamic, organic, irregular, while the interior is rigid, organized, and isolated. We live in isolation, we build boxes of interior space to provide shelter and isolate ourselves from the natural world. At the same time, we recreate the illusion of nature in our spaces by using materials, fake plants and images of nature. Thus, nature and the representation of it is suspended bet-ween interior and exterior space, dissipating the boundaries between the two. Simultaneously, the image of nature is still, static, it is suspended in time and is no longer a living entity. The concept model illustrates the tensions between the rigidity of the interior and the organic fluidity of nature, while also representing the concept of suspension.
