The sunken ceiling has imposed a significant barrier, both obstructing entry into the space and preventing visitors from walking freely inside. Its design was based on the issue of resource depletion. If we continue to overconsume, waste, and deplete water resources, we will face consequences/disruptions impacting our lives. The folds in the form result in small pockets of interior spaces which are very confined, further restricting movement and showing that they are unfit to use. Cracks are also an essential part of the design. They symbolize one of many things; drought, failure, or decay, as a result of overconsumption.
