
This pavilion explores the interplay between light and material, and how it impacts our visual and spatial perception. As something that is permeating in essence, light has the ability to transcend and define space. Through repetition of vertical and horizontal elements, this design investigates how segmented light and shadows can transform one’s perception of space from public to semi private. The composition manipulates light to varying degrees in order to convey a sense of compartmentalization and create implied zones. The design explores how light can define a space and change the inhabitants perception on how it's understood and utilized.
