Perched on a rocky hillside overlooking a vast seascape, this building urges visitors to enjoy a stunning natural vista in a number of ways.  The wide open ends of the form move us naturally through its narrow body,  along which thinly sliced windows offer a tempting glimpse of what awaits us at the end of the gauntlet.  Roof pieces are peeled back unexpectedly from the roof line, allowing the exterior legs (as seen in the stilts of coastal fishing perches and notably reimagined by architect Todd Saunders at his Fogo Island Inn) to become a feature of the interior as well.
