Derived from an initial design of super-furniture geared towards creating both a collaborative and intimate workspace, we were able to take this design ideology a step further with the design of an office space. With an emphasis on blurring the line between public and private space in an office setting, we achieved this on a micro and macro level. From developing custom partitions with varying opacities in accordance with varying levels of privacy, paired with the skillful placement of partitions and ceiling planes; we were able to design an interior space that effortlessly guides workers through the space through the use of soft boundaries. By establishing a gradient from public to private space (public on the left and private on the right), we were able to allocate different programming accordingly with the help of an Adjacency Matrix. Using the Building Code and Accessibility Code allowed us to place a strong emphasis on accessibility and inclusivity in the workspace.
