Our approach to the design intervention in Studio 318 is to create a space of tranquility and relaxation. We aim to evoke comfort and warmth through a connection to nature. This is executed through a choice of warm ambient lighting reminiscent of a fireside, raw material finishes and textiles, and organic forms that yield to the human body at rest. The design nestles into the existing structure, using open and closed spaces to moderate levels of privacy and activity.
