In my project, I am inspired by the painting created by Raphael called The School of Athens, which is a fresco painted between 1509 and 1511. For the model itself, I used white acrylic which is laser cut and then I created figures in the model representing Raphael, Leonardo Da Vinci, and Michelangelo which are made of wood and acrylic. I chose this white acrylic material as it is reflective. For the background envelope, I decided to use wood that is painted in grey to create walls with 3 slots in between and then have clear acrylic and attach pieces of the original painting onto it. The pieces that are more in front in perspective in the painting are put in the first or second slots.
