The arch is an instrument inscribed with age. Its ability to frame spaces allows it to act as a liminal zone, fragmenting space, time, and sense of self. The arch is a threshold that becomes a frame, and the experience of passing through while wandering the house provides users with a shift in time, similar to a portal.

In a similar way, we can also fragment ourselves in the space. The drawing plays upon the use of mirrors and how they allow the user to become a part of the building and reflect it upon themselves. The user activates the arch and feels a sense of self awareness passing though, serving as a reminder of mortality and memory.
