In interior design, understanding what we are building our interiors with creates a more in-depth, enriching experience with spaces we encounter daily. My interior space required the exterior wall to be made of CMU– Concrete Masonry Units. Throughout this process I learned the beauty of what materials around us have. Every tiny detail in an interior space is a conscious choice; whether it’s to insulate and give us heat, to protect us from fire hazards or give us a level floor to travel on.
