This emotive object was inspired by a painting, 'Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose' by John Singer Sargent. This painting shows two young girls in the garden surrounded by carnation, lily, and rose. The artist used those flowers to represent the girls; the white lily symbolizes humility, devotion, purity, innocence, femininity, and fragility. Thus, I have decided to create flowers as my emotive object.

The rough sketches show the images of flowers I see in the painting and the overall layout of the emotive object I was creating.  I have used epoxy resin, silicon, plaster, and foil to create each unique flower shape and shine the light through them to show how they interact differently with light. Also, I would like to focus on the shadows they create; despite how they interact with the light, their intense shades create another layer of flowers.
