Ecto-plasm is derived from the Greek word “ektos”, outside and “plasma”, something formed or molded. As a company, they program social activities in our furniture designs to promote unity but cultivate individual expression within. As a new office in 401 Richmond, they seek to feature our superfurniture design titled “Matrix”. Matrix is a modular workplace partition system that programs social interactions yet allows the user to adapt partitions to cultivate a greater experience for their space and needs. Aligned on a gridded system, through the corner structures to dock walls for power or extra program furniture. The project suggests the future of work includes forms that can easily be replicated for mass use yet still empower the daily and future users.
