Drowning is the design proposal for a 360° projection pod located within the Toronto PATH system. It takes the feeling of being lost and displays it using the element of water to draw attention to the problems within the PATH concourse and the irony of bringing outside elements into enclosed interiors. Located directly underneath a waterfall garden, this installation will submerge you into a frantic underwater scene. Your POV is underneath the waterfall and it’s as if you are drowning in this unreal connection to nature. It’s supposed to be intriguingly unsettling and thought-provoking towards the absurdity of interior urbanism.
