The window and its window covering are the moments that capture the aperture between the interior and exterior of the space. It is an element within the space that is the focal point and is central to the interior space. Without the loss of protection, the window covering provides a shelter for the interior where people can live, work and find intimate leisure time without the concern for the outside world. The shelving on either side of the window, frame the focal point and allow for storage or display.
