Through the process of using different digital technologies I was able to create this foam mill. I learned the process of creating a file for CNC milling, and got to learn how the machine works. I used the command heightfield in Rhino to test out varying black and white images. This command extracts the levels of the black and white to create different heighted sections. I ended up submitting the file you see here for processing because I liked all the curves, varying heights and details the best. I was unsure of how it would mill and if it would look the same as the image I used. The final outcome amazed me as it had so much refinement and cleanliness.
